PD42 is a large 2-storey house with an area of 349 square meters. It was designed in the style to match the style of an LA beach house with a beige colored cladding stone as the highlight of this house. The house focuses on flexible usable space that can be repositioned according to the needs of the function in an open plan layout.
It consists of 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a western kitchen area connected to the
dining table and living room, and a glass house that allows natural
light entering the house.
It was designed in the style of an LA Beach House with a beige cladding stone as the highlight of this house.
All 3 bedrooms can are connected to an external balcony with frameless glass balustrade to allow natural light in and make the room feel more open. While on the other side the balustrade acts as a screening façade for privacy purpose.
The goal was to make the ceiling as high as possible.
The glass house allows natural light entering the house throughout the day.
During the day, the house is simply lit up with natural light projecting into the house; there's no need to turn the lights on.
The stairway was totally demolished and redesigned with steel structure to make the area feel more open and comfortable to walk on.
