Located in a housing community context in Talingchan District, the goal of the project is to maintain as many of the existing materials and objects as part of the memory of the 30-year-old house.
The subtraction of material and structure is to be as minimal as possible. With the existing parquet floor and wood furniture, the house responds to the tropical climate of Thailand with a tropical modern architecture approach.
Parquet house is a mixed-use building consisting of residential, office, and retail spaces.
The idea was to expose the wooden beam to create a double volume space where natural light comes through the whole house.
These recycled window frames are modified into floor-to-ceiling window walls.
